Martha Piña Orosco, died peacefully in her family’s presence on Sunday, November 07, 2021, after a long and well-fought struggle with illness. Her family diligently cared for her in her last days. She was 57 years old.
Martha, a Pharmaceutical Technician, worked with two major prominent pharmacies. She discovered her calling in pharmaceuticals for her quick understanding and love of mathematics! She also worked as an exclusive pharmaceutical delivery representative and as a paper distribution representative for various major hotels in San Antonio, alongside her brother, Moses and nephews, Wil and Nik. Martha, a Texas Notary Public also worked for many years alongside her sister, Christina as a mobile notary throughout Texas.
Martha always knew how to make people laugh (and some she would make cry) regardless, there was never a dull moment around her. She was a people magnet; everyone was drawn to her, young and old. Martha loved and cared for her fur babies, Muffin, Sweetie and Raisin and loved “Dance” and “Rock n Roll” music, specifically, Joan Jett.
Martha is preceded in death by her father, Moses Araiza Orosco, Sr., whom Martha was the “apple of his eye” and her brother Ben Gonzales, who both loved to wreak havoc together.
She is survived by her loving mother, Christina Piña Orosco, Sr. and her sisters Oralia Gonzales and Christina Piña Orosco, Jr., (her nephews that she so lovingly adored and often claimed as her own, Willie Hernandez, II and Nicholas Hernandez), her brothers, Julian Gonzales, Mark Orosco, Moses Piña Orosco, Jr. (sister in law, Maria Orosco, niece, Janie Orosco and nephew, Ryan Orosco), partner, Julie Casteñeda and sister in law(s), Gladys Gonzales and Sylvia Gonzales, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff and doctors at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital for their service and dedication while Martha was in their care.
In remembrance of Martha, the family has asked to please give graciously to the South Texas blood and Tissue Center and Donate Life Texas.
The services for Martha will be an intimate gathering. Leaving a comforting message online for the Orosco Family, is kindly encouraged.
