Martin O. Perez entered rest on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the age of 73. He was a mechanic for many years, employed by the San Antonio International Airport. As a young man he was a drag racer and enjoyed his time on the race track. He loved restoring classic cars and woodworking. Martin was also an avid Spurs fan and loved fussing over his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Maria G. Perez; his loving children, Leticia P. Doria, Susan Ramos and husband Edward, Mary Helen Martinez and husband James, Martin A. Perez and wife Joanna; grandchildren, Edward Diaz, Charles Martin Doria, Alysha Perez, Christopher Ramos, Alexandria Ramos, Erika “Honey” Martinez; and great-granddaughter Ava on the way. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2011, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78213. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:00am at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
