Mrs. Avery is survived by her husband, Paul Avery; daughters: Donna Avey of Anchorage, Alaska, Marsha Kulpa and Beth Ann Signor of Austin, and Nancy Davis of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and sister Thelma Lyon of New Hampshire.
Mary will be remembered as a loving mother and wife of 59 years. As a lifelong learner, she received a Bachelor of Arts of Geography at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1989.
As a lover of the arts, Mary especially enjoyed vocal music. Her favorite hobbies were floral design, home decorating, and writing her autobiography.
