Mary Virginia Bain-Sill

Mary Virginia Bain Sill entered into rest December 8, 2010. She was born August 12, 1920 in San Antonio, TX to her parents, Arthur Bunnell and Laura Preusser Thompson. Mary was very active in the Los Angeles Heights Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, past Chairman of the Pastor Parish Committee and on the Greeting Committee. She was also involved in visitation with the elderly, was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group and the former President of the Dirt Daubers Garden Club. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Cecil William Bain, Sr. and husband William O. Sill as well as 2 brothers. She is survived by her children, Cecil William Bain, Jr. and wife Linda and Ronald Alan Bain and wife Connie of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Cecil William Bain III and wife Amanda, Scott Christopher Bain and wife Marci of El Paso, TX, Catherine Lee Maxon and husband Edmond Stillman IV of Houston, TX, Laura Virginia Colvin and husband Jeff of Plano, TX, and Kevin Alan Bain of Spring, TX; great grandchildren, Carter Scott Bain, Madison Lee Bain, Mackenzie Ann Bain, Brooke Lauren Bain, Joshua Luke Bain, Lindsey Lee Maxon, Jacob Mathew Bain, Edmond Stillman V, Judson Bain Colvin, and Caroline Elizabeth Colvin. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her family and a host of very special friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Hoan Pho and his medical team, the staff of Methodist Hospital and Morningside Manor for their loving care.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2PM at Sunset Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Antonio Chapter of the American Heart Association or The Salvation Army.
