Mary "Frances" Barta

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Phil Barta, parents Sherman Francis and Mary Leona Dobbs and her sister Margaret Sue Simpson.

She is survived by her brother Sherman Dobbs, sister Virginia Barrier, 3 children Melody Popham(Kenneth), Bryan Barta (Sandy) and David Barta (Tammy), 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She went to Sam Houston High School. She graduated from San Antonio College with an associate's degree. She retired from AT&T. She was a loving wife, mother, sister grandma and aunt. She loved playing games with her family and friends, especially Yahtzee, Bunco and Bingo. She loved to travel, going on cruises, dancing and singing.

Mary was an absolute joy, a spark that lit up a room and the life of the party. To meet her was to love her and she could easily become a friend to anyone she met. The world has truly lost a gem and her friends and family will hold onto her memories with fondness and admiration and hopefully will remember to always live life with adventure and zest.

She will be missed by everyone.
