Mary Tafolla Benavides, age 82, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, VSP Group, Auxiliary Bunco Group and The Hospitality Club of San Antonio. Mrs. Benavides enjoyed the many festivities and activities of the groups to which she belonged. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mary was always happy when in the company of her many friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her son, Leo C. Benavides. Survivors: husband of 62 years, Leo G. Benavides; son, Rick Benavides, Houston; grandchildren, Nicole, Kacie, Montgomery and Christopher Benavides, also, Kelly and Kyle Luftas; daughter-in-law, Kay Benavides, Ft. Worth; brother-in-law, Victor G. Benavides, San Antonio.
