Mary was born on June 10, 1934 in DeWitt, Arkansas. She was the only girl in a family of six children and was adored by her brothers. Some of her favorite pastimes included cooking and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time fishing on the Texas coast. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Black; loving companion, Donald Schilo and brothers, Archie and Bobby Lynn Buchanan. She is survived by her children, Debbie Kohler and Ken, Carol Spring, Jerry Black and wife, Patricia; brothers, James and wife, Dixie of Cabot, Arkansas, Spencer and wife, Ethel of DeWitt, Arkansas, Billy and wife, Jeanette of Salem, OR; grandchildren (to whom she was always "Nana") Sarah, Zane, Jacob, Jason, Jerred, Spencer, Shawna, Danny, and Ben.
