

It is with deep sadness and great love that we announce the passing of Mary, on June 21st, 2026 . A beloved mother, grandmother, family member, and friend, Mary touched countless lives through her unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
Mary Ortiz Borrego was Born June 2nd, 1936, in San Antonio Texas.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul and Isabel Ortiz; Daughter, Connie Borrego Gonzales; Grandson, Jeffrey Pacheco, and Niece Lisa Martinez.
Mary is survived by her sister, Alice Martinez (Elias); children Frank Borrego Jr, and Yolanda Pacheco (Jeffrey); Grandchildren, Patricia, Katherine (Jeremy), Francesca, and Frankie (Nick). Nieces and Nephews, Paul Martinez, Tony Martinez (Margie), Elias Martinez, Christina Gaitan (Jesse); Great Grandchildren, Isabella, Cole, Elias, Alejandro and Tomas.
A devoted Catholic, Mary lived her faith every day. Prayer was at the center of her life, and she faithfully prayed for her family, friends, and anyone in need. No matter what challenges arose, Mary found comfort and strength in her daily prayers and trusted completely in God's guidance. Her compassion and spiritual devotion were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Mary's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. Her home was a place of warmth, where everyone felt welcomed, cared for, and cherished.
While her faith was the foundation of her life, Mary also knew how to enjoy life's simple pleasures. She loved sharing a Twisted Tea, a margarita, or a cold beer with family and friends. She had a vibrant spirit and could often be found dancing, listening to her favorite music, and encouraging others to join in the fun.
Mary also had a passion for travel and adventure. She especially enjoyed trips that included a visit to a casino, where she embraced the excitement and made unforgettable memories with those she loved. Whether traveling near or far, she cherished every opportunity to experience life and spend time with family.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, her strong faith, her joyful laughter, and her endless love for others. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the prayers she offered, and the love she gave so freely.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and strive to honor the example she set through her faith, generosity, and love.
