Mary Evelyn Bowers passed away in San Antonio on Aug. 16, 2011 at the age of 97. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Barrett Stahala and Betsy Barrett Jakus; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at the Forum at Lincoln Heights for their loving care and kindness. A private service will follow at a later date.
