'Memaw' was born July 28, 1934 in Seymour, TX to Robert & Emily Ewing Machen.
Mary Jo was an outgoing, independent woman. MJ retired from HEB after 21 years in the bakery. She enjoyed participating in organized trips for HEB retirees, including the grand opening of the first HEB in Monterrey, Mexico.
MJ loved traveling, especially to Colorado & Wyoming. She was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. MJ also dearly loved hummingbirds and collecting hummingbird art.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Frank and Jim. Mary Jo is survived by daughter Marty husband Alex Landry; sons Ed wife Debbie Coleman and Roger wife Tina Coleman; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; aunts Effie Reed of Clovis, NM & Marie Sullivan of Boynton Beach, FL; & uncle T.J. Ewing of Yoakum, TX.
