Mary Anne Covington

Mary Anne was born in San Antonio, Texas to Balbin and Angelina on June 30, 1951. She went to high school at Harlandale High School. She married Johnnie Covington on May 28, 2016, in New Braunfels, TX. She worked as a Sales Manager for Catholic Life for over 15 years and was retired from USAA after 25 years. She was involved with the Parkinsons Foundation and volunteered at her local church. She really enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.

Mary Anne is preceded in death by Johnnie Covington, JR, Balbin Marroqin, Angelina Meneses, Richard Marroquin, Mary Jane Marroquin, and Balbin Marroquin, JR.

Mary Anne is survived by her children Sandra & Mark Salas (spouse), Veronica & Joe Closner (spouse), Tomas & Grace Ramirez (spouse).

Bonus Children Holly Malish, Tuesday Covington, John Covington, Richie Kelley. Sisters & Brothers: Margie & John Castillo, Carol Marroquin, Shirley Guerra, Benjamin Guerra, Daniel & Cheryl Guerra, Leticia Guerra.

Pallbearers will be Justin Jimenez, Jack Salas, Isaac Ramirez, Josiah Closner, Tommy Closner, Kurtis Alvarez and Giancarlo Carrasco.

Visitation will be Monday, December 1st, 2025, at 7 pm – 9 pm at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218.

Burial services will be held 10:30 am, December 2, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209, Shelter #3 with Pastor Albert Belton of My Friends House Christian Fellowship, officiating. Celebration of Life will follow at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218 from 11:30 – 1:30 pm.
