Mary Lou Cowan

We will miss her love and friendship; and her beautiful blue eyes and bright smile.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Hogan Cowan and Gertrude Cosgrove Cowan.

Mary Lou was born on January 23, 1928 in El Reno, Oklahoma. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1946.

A resident of San Antonio since 1948, Mary Lou began her career as a medical transcriber at Lackland Air Force Base.

She transferred to Brooke Army Medical Center in 1959 and worked for the departments of Pediatrics and Surgery and the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service completing 35 years in the civil service and receiving many commendations before her retirement.

She is survived by numerous cousins and friends.

We would like to thank the members of the Joy Seekers Sunday School Class and the TWA Prayer Group at Trinity Baptist Church for their faithful prayers, visits, and cards.

We would also like to thank Tracy Showers and Mary Martinez for their loving care over the last few years.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 22nd at 10:00 am at Porter Loring on McCullough.
