I want you to know the impact Ms Lundeen had on me. She was an inspiring teacher who taught me so many things. She was inspiring and someone I admired as a teacher. I majored in biology because of her influence. I became NMSI teacher of the year because of her devotion to her students. Thank Ms Lundeen for your kind words of inspiration you gave to a very shy young girl who found her way in life because of your influence. I only regret I had not come back to you and told you in person. Rest in peace.

I attended Mary Jane's memorial service and especially enjoyed the homily. I knew Mary Jane through her subbing at Northwood. She often subbed for me, and I requested her as often as she was available. She was a wonderful lady, and a superior teacher. She loved her family, and looked forward to her travels to points north to see her grandchildren. 
Please accept my sympathy, and know that many children and teachers are better for having had her cross our paths. Vicki

Mary Jane Cox was the wonderful fourth grade teacher for both of my children at St. Luke's Episcopal School. She inspired both of them to read and write. They have wonderful memories of their teacher. I loved her wit and how she could see the good traits in her students. My children are now 22 and 26, but still remember her fondly. Rest in peace, Mary Jane.

Mary Jane was sort of a mentor when I first started working at St. Lukes. I asked her many questions; mostly ones that now seem really stupid. She was always kind and answered very politely. She was a great teacher and I learned alot from her. We became good friends and still had lunch a couple times a year with a group of other ex-St. Lukers. She was a very dear lady and I will miss her, her sense of humor and her down-to-Earth attitude. Most sincerely, Margaret

Mary Jane was a good friend, and wonderful neighbor. She was always cheerful and optimistic and supportive of her friends. I will miss her, both at St. Luke's Church and at the Green Door. My deepest sympathy to Karen and Kathy.

I taught with Mary Jane in Kerrville, Starkey Elementary. I apologize for not contacting your personally, but I do not have an address. I know you will all miss Mary Jane so much ,and I want you to know that you have my deepest sympathy and prayers for strength. I taught with Mary Jane at Starkey for years and we became good friends. I enjoyed talking with her so much. She laughed and shared some "yankee" experiences with me. She especially remembered the fall of the year at home with her parents when she was young so I always think of her in the fall. She told me she kept two little snowsuits of her girls hidden in a box under the bed because she couldn't bear to part with them. She loved her girls so much. Dear M.J. was special to me. She was my Sorority Pledge Mother at Wayne State University. I have fond memories of her making me wash and iron her white pleated skirt as a pledge "duty". We played bridge following college until we both moved to other states. However, we always kept in touch by birthday and Christmas cards and letters. I received a card from her on August 12 for my birthday with a sweet note and sent her card for October 31 with a letter. I feel so badly that we will not be able to see her at the 80th Founders day celebration here at Wayne next year. I admired her and her continual service to children throughout her life. Her death leaves a void for all of us. Our prayers to you girls and all the granddaughters. She was so proud of all of you. Elaine Rosati

My name is Alan Rubiola, Mrs Cox was a great substitute of my school NorthWood Elementary. When i went to middle school, All of the kids including me had very great memories of her , i will miss her famous sayings, and her kind sensetive voice. She will always be remebered, and thought of. 
My mom used to tell her she was the best dressed substitute, and she always looked good in that fast sports car of hers! Once again, I am sorry to hear she is no longer with us, but she has left many memories in our hearts, and will always be though of as a wonderful lady.
