Mary Jacque Craig, age 78, died on peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy fight with cancer. She was the daughter of Sterling Burtis and Mary Chiles. Mary Jacque Craig was born in Rockwall, TX on July 31, l923. She received a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from TWU in l944 and a MA NTSU in l965. She was married to Robert M. Craig on September 3, l949. She was a flight attendant of American Airlines from l944-l949. She taught Health and Special Education in Dallas, New Orleans, and Lyle School Districts. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Craig, and daughter, Mary Anne Craig. She was a member of Oakhills Church of Christ, Alamo Bridge Club, Kiwi Chapter, San Antonio Eastern Star Chapter #3, Beta Sigma Phi, and volunteer at Southwestern Art Center. She is survived by her son, Robert M. Craig, and daughter-in-law, Janet N. Craig.
