Mary E. Crain

Mary Elizabeth Crain, age 87, went home to Heaven on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in San Antonio. She was born to Walter and Verda Greene in Emerson, Arkansas on July 28, 1934. As an active member of First Baptist Church San Antonio and an educator for 25 years at Roosevelt High School, Mary devoted her life to serving others. Her loyal, steadfast love for her family was evident in everything that she did. Mary had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that brought joy to many.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Otha Jerry Crain and her daughter, Sandra Laa. Mary is survived by her son, Michael A. Crain and wife Victoria; daughter, Suzette Quayle and husband Jake; son-in-law, Eddie Laa; brother Monroe Greene and wife Pat; grandchildren: Michael Crain, Jr. and wife, Jessica, Lyndsey Byers and husband, Cody, Jessica Gonzales and husband, Jonathan, Stephanie Quayle-Moore and husband, Robert, Jordyn Blunt and husband, Cody, Kelsey Peterson and husband, Jacob, Devyn Watts and husband, Fletcher, Giovani Flores, Jesse Crain; great-grandchildren: Hudson Byers, Jack Crain, Lucy Crain, Audrey Crain, Emery Byers, Liam Gonzales, Rylan Moore, Elle Byers, Mavis Gonzales, Levi Blunt, Nash Peterson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
