She wsa born September 7, 1911 in Hereford, Texas as the daughter of Livy P. and Mattie King Landrum. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Bueford Crawford, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She has been a resident of San Antonio since 1941 and previously owned and taught at Jack and Janet, a private primary school.
As a member of Palm Heights Methodist Church, she was a loyal and serving member for many years. "Mommie", as she was known to all, never made a disparaging remark.
She had great love and respect for all mankind, regardless of race, color or creed. "Mommie" was a great and perfect role model for everyone, young and old. Francis Crawford is survived by her nephew, Lester Landrum and his wife, Joyce; her God-daughter, Dixie Burd and "Mommie's" sweet pet "Punkin".
Special heartful thanks go to her devoted caregivers: Becky Davila, Gloria Garcia, Isabel Solis, Rosie Rocha, Stella Aranda, Becky Calvillo, Mueller Family Medicine, Vitas Hospice personnel and Advocate Home Care.
