

She was born on August 9, 1932 in Rome, New York to the late Samuel R. and Winifred Ellis Davies Burch. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Davies; sisters, Winifred M. Davies and Annie Jean Davies Pharoah; and brother, Albert E. Davies. She is survived by her husband, Daniel A. Cretaro, who she met in 1947 at Throns Pond in Rome, New York. They were married June 16, 1951.
Mary was a military wife for 27 years, travelling extensively to Germany, France, Panama, and several assignments in the United States. She is survived by sons, Daniel M. Cretaro (Jennifer) and Steven A. Cretaro; two granddaughters, Vanessa M. Cretaro Kerr (Edward) and Stephanie L. Cretaro Sieckenius (Michael); three grandchildren, Anthony J. Kerr, Brandon E. Kerr, and Genevieve K. Siekenius, all residing in the San Antonio area. She is also survived by niece, Diane Peckham and great niece, April Fallon (Jeff) of Watertown, New York; and nephews, Louis Cretaro and David Cretaro of Redding, California, and Edward Cretaro of New York, New York.
Mrs. Cretaro was a member of Windcrest United Methodist Church.
A celebration of life will be held at Windcrest United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 2, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM.
