Mary Lou Duncan passed away December 10, 2016. She was born March 24, 1928 in Salem, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Elbert S. Vincent. She graduated from Bowling Green State University and married Kenneth Jack Duncan of Bowling Green, Ohio in 1950. The Duncans began their married life in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mary Lou supported Jack during his studies at the Presbyterian Seminary with a full-time job in the insurance industry as well as typing for other Seminarians. Her role as a minister's wife expanded greatly when Jack went active duty as an Air Force Chaplain. She was active in churches in many states and overseas (Japan and England). As an English teacher, she influenced many students; however, upon earning her Masters, she opted to give the younger students a better basis in their education with her skills as a Remedial Reading teacher. Mary Lou moved with Jack to Air Force Village West in San Antonio and began an active retirement with her involvement in water aerobics, Couth Club, hand bell choir, organist and the Protestant choir.
She and Jack continued their travels in the States as well as many trips/cruises abroad.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Chaplain Kenneth Jack Duncan.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Duncan of Colorado, daughter, Amy Duncan of Wisconsin, granddaughter, Lauren Moths and her husband Ray of Wisconsin, daughter, Linda Duncan of Texas and nephews and a niece.
