With loving memories of "Mary Flores",we were classmates at Burbank High  and I was lucky to sit in front of her for many classes. A sweet young lady.

Jesse, Joe , Raymond , & Ralph, I am saddened to hear of Mary’s passing .  I will never forget the times I spent at your house on Lubbock St., it was always a fun time .  We spend a lot of time together during our days at St Philip’s, seems that once we got to Burbank we didn’t talk so much .  I will never forget Mary , she was so kind , quiet & very smart .  Rest In Peace my dear friend 🙏🏻

Mary was my BFF starting in elementary and throughout high school.  She talked me into going to Burbank High School rather than St Francis Academy.  Not knowing what to expect in public school, we both wanted to be together.  But as fate would have it, Mary was a brilliant student and I was average, thru no fault but my own.  Mary tried so hard to get me to study and make good grades, but I liked the social life of high school better than the academic portion.  After the first year, Mary excelled in school and became part of the National Honor Society.   Mary took advanced classes and  I did not.  Although we were separated in our classes and homeroom, we spent a lot of time together at Mary's home with her parents and ALL her brothers.  Her father would be our chauffer to the dances and parties, but it seemed like he would always show up to take us home when the dance or party was just getting lively.  So I learned to find a separate ride home.  I spent many summers in Chicago and Mary would write and give me updates about home.  Mary and I remained in touch until she married and had her family.  We lost contact when she moved to Bulverde with her family.  I had always wished we could have reunited and caught up with our lives.  Mary called me her 'sister' and her family was my extended family during those early years of growing up.  I know that cute, dimpled angel is watching over her family and friends and someday we will have that reunion.  I was blessed to have had Mary in my life. As a Birthday present  my sweet niece gave  me a C.D. by  an old singer Connie Francis.She said that her dad, my brother, always said that I could have been  another Connie  Francis.I will cherish  that album and will forever  think of my sweet niece  every time   I play it  or just think  of her.
