She was a Life Member of the NCO Wives Club. Mary helped to raise scholarship money for the NCO children through the years.
She served as an Arlington Lady, assisting the families of soldiers to be interred in Arlington National Cemetery. Mary was a supporter of State and National GOP activities.
She was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Blanche Vincent of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, brother, James Vincent and sister, Sophie Pelley.
Mary is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Guthrie, CSM, U.S. Army Ret; daughters, Ann Guthrie, RN of San Antonio and Nancy Guthrie of Lake Placid, New York; brother-in-law, James Guthrie of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews residing in Canada.
