Mary Frances Hughes Hamilton, age 87, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2012. A beautiful and talented woman, she is preceded in death by her husband Billy, brother Guy W. Hughes, mother Elizabeth Warren Hughes, and father Guy Hughes. Mary is survived by her niece, Debbie and husband Dale Kane, nephew Guy “Bud” and wife Julie Hughes, Cousin Bob Warren of Oklahoma City, numerous great nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on May 29, 1925. She had a career working for civil service at Ft. Sam Houston Army post. Mary was a member of Laurel Heights Methodist church and Gaddis Memorial Methodist church in Comfort. She will be missed by many including friends from Southwest Craft Center, her many neighbors, and her sweet dogs. A Graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Tx 78218 on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Animal Defense League and/or the charity of your choice in Mary’s name.
