

Mary Catherine Leonard Hohman, age 89, died peacefully in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born on March 6, 1937 at West Point, New York, to parents Col A.T. Leonard and Eleanor Leonard. While very young, she lived in Japan with her parents, the oldest of six children. She graduated from Providence High School in 1955 and attended Incarnate Word University. She married A.J. “John” Hohman in August, 1958 and was married 67 years to him.
She was a proud grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 4 children. The children born of her marriage are Kristin Marie Mulloy of Kerrville, Texas and Jonathan David Hohman of Denton, Texas.
She was an avid reader, and a world class cook specializing in delicious meals, with a collection of about 100 cookbooks. She touched the lives of many family members and friends with her unconditional love and kindness. She was also a direct descendant of Oliver Loving, the first trail driver in Texas.
A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, located at 2102 North Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232. A celebration of life will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 20523 Huebner Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78258. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
