Mary A. Kalka

Mary A. Kalka (née Scruggs) was called into the Hands of Our Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Mary was born on December 27, 1940, to Alice and J.M. Scruggs of Bandera, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother J.M. Scruggs, and grandson Ryan Paul Jonas.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 57 years - Samuel R. Kalka; children: Phyllis Jonas (Richard), Rhea Kalka (Judy), Steve Kalka (Jean), Pam Loper (Jimmy) and Joe Kalka (Loretta); grandchildren: Kelly Jonas, Samuel Kalka III, Cody Kalka, Jay Kalka, Clint Kalka (Samantha), Amber Ford (Doug), KaraLea Loper, Dana Loper, Lana Loper, Brandon Loper, Mary Ann Kalka, Bobby Joe Kalka, Taylor Kalka and Makenzie Kalka; great grandchild Erin Ford and one on the way; brother: Robert G. Scruggs III.

Mary was fun loving, fearless and always had a smile on her face. She never met a stranger. Her happiest moments were spent with her family, especially backyard BBQs with her kids and grandkids. As much as she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, her rock was her beloved husband, Sam and their faith.
