

Mary Lou Lewis, age 89, of San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, to Martin A. Vasquez and Catalina Vasquez.
Mary Lou was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Edward E. Lewis, for 57 years, building a lifetime of love, faith, and cherished memories together. Her greatest joy was caring for her family, and she found happiness in babysitting and spending precious time with those she loved.
Mary Lou enjoyed tending to her garden, where she found peace and fulfillment nurturing her flowers and plants. She also loved playing bingo, taking photographs to preserve special moments, watching her favorite television novelas, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Martin Lewis and his wife, Patsy Ordonez; her beloved grandson, Jonathan Lewis; her brother, Reynaldo Vasquez, her nephews; Gilbert Vasquez, Rey Vasquez (Terry), Joseph Vasquez, Javier Vasquez, James Vasquez (Joann), and her niece; Sylvia Vasquez. Her family will forever treasure the love, guidance, and countless memories she shared with them.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward E. Lewis; her parents, Martin A. Vasquez and Catalina Vasquez; her brother, Martin Vasquez, her nephews; Hector Vasquez and Ruben Vasquez.
Mary Lou will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she has entered into eternal peace and that her love will remain with them always.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on July 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
A Processional will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 am for A Mass of the Resurrection that will take place at St. John Berchmans Church, 1147 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226, on July 10, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Committal service at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
