

It is with great sadness we announce that Mary Louise Guzman passed away peacefully in her home on September 29, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 89. Mary Louise was born February 3, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas to Francisco & Concepcion Cantoya.
Mary Louise is survived by her husband, Albert of 62 years; daughter, Lisa Ybarra (Eddie); son. Mark Guzman (Melissa); and grandchildren, Lauren Fabac (Collin), Lianna Ybarra, Jacob Ybarra, Alexander Guzman & Anthony Guzman.
Early on Mary Louise worked at Kelly Air Force Base, after having her children she stayed at home to raise them. She returned to work part time as an underwriter for a local insurance agency and later as a full-time administrative assistant for Northside Independent School District. Once retired, Mary Louise traveled extensively with her husband.
She was an active member at St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church serving as a mass coordinator, Eucharistic minster, member of the rosary club and volunteered with the fishes & loaves organization.Mary Louise loved to sew, bake, take photos, make photo albums, do crossword puzzles, and adored shopping. Above all she loved spending time and being surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Flowers should be sent to Central Catholic High School 1403 N. St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, Texas 78215, Mother Adele Chapel in the Khalig Cowie Convocation Center.
