Mary Louise Menzies, 96, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday March 30, 2016. Born in Lott, Texas, she grew up in a farming family along with 3 sisters. While attending TWC she met Perry Menzies at Texas A&M. They were married on Aug 16, 1940, had two sons, Stephen and Winston, and traveled extensively while Perry was in the Air Force. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who was very artistic and enjoyed sewing, flower arranging, painting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Perry after 66 years of marriage and by granddaughter, Marnie Menzies.
She is survived by her two sons Stephen and his wife Sally and their daughter Monica Anderson, husband Ryan and great-grandson Alexander; Winston and his wife Donna and their sons Ron and wife Lydia and great-grandchildren Camille and Graham; and John Menzies. Mary Louise was a gracious lady and dedicated Christian active in church and service ministries at Trinity Baptist and First Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will be held at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 1:30pm.
