Mary Regina Mosel, known throughout her life as Regina or Genie, was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 5, 1933 to L.C. Sr. and Marie Mosel. She passed away peacefully on April 9, 2012 at the age of 78.
As a professional photographer Regina took pictures for Incarnate Word, weddings, various social events, family portraits and the San Antonio Little Theatre, where she was also a singer and an actress in plays such as, South Pacific and Annie Get Your Gun.
Many will remember Regina's enormous sense of humor, laughter, colorful jokes, yummy sweets and zipping around town in her 1958 MGA. Always generous, there wasn't a person (or cat) in need she wouldn't reach out to and help. Regina was the owner of the Bottle Shop where many a customer came to hear a good joke, and just hang out with her and her parrot, Honey.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and Stanton Mosel. Regina will be greatly missed by her brother Louis and his wife Florence; 3 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Griswold Special Care, Jane Fore and the staff at Incarnate Word, and to VITAS Hospice for their exceptional love and care.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.
