She was a bright star. Never beat around the bush, just tells you like it is. That is what I loved about her. She was always there for me even if that meant to just listen. I worked with her when she found out that she had breast cancer and went through treatment. When I left she was ok, or so, she said. I am really sorry she has left us. I will never forget her she was a god send to me. LOVE YOU CATHY!!!!!!! Misty Patteson 210-467-2713

Our thoughts ands prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Cathy had such a funny, wonderfully big personality. She was a unique person, full of love and she made you feel special. I loved hearing her stories of when she, David, Debbie, Susan, and Buzzy were kids. What a great laugh she had! She will be sorely missed. Love, "Aunt" Merilou

Our deepest sympathies for your loss, she will be missed.

My condolences to the family. I am heartbroken to hear about Cathy's passing. My prayers are with you. Cathy and I worked together at Northside State Bank back in the 70s. I remember she hung out with my son Isaac and I. Isaac was only 5 years old now he is 36 years old and Cathy use to help me by going to the bus stop across from the bank to get Isaac when the bus would drop him off from school (San Antonio Academy) and you even dated my brother. My son is now an Attorney and he even remembers now that you helped cross him on San Pedro St. to the bank. I am so sadden. I will see you in heaven someday. Hugs and kisses especially to Susan and Jim, and Louis and Ann. God Bless you all.

Dear Nelson Family,
As much as I miss Cathy, I can't help but think that heaven just got a whole lot more exciting! Thank you for sharing Cathy with all of us. She really was a "big sister" to me. I think she crammed about 100 years worth of living into the time she had and I am so glad that my path took me to Texas so I could meet Cathy! She remains one of my dearest friends and fondest memories of my time in Texas.

Cathy is no longer in pain and is looking down on all of us right now. She was one of the most honest people I ever knew and I'm proud to have worked with her and known her for as long as I have. We will miss you!!! Love you,
Kim & David

We are sorry for your loss.
May God grant you comfort and peace in this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was with Alamo Asphalt Company for many years and dealt with Cathy. I have now retired and she has been dealing with my son Mark Hibbetts and Tom Weir. I am so sorry to hear about Cathy. She never complained and was always so nice and had a fun personality.
Sorry for your loss and we will remember her.We always waved when we drove by her house.
Gail Hibbetts

OUR PRAY IS THAT GOD WILL LIFT THIS
SORROW FROM YOUR HEART,AND FILL YOUR
HEART WITH JOY AND YOUR MIND WITH HAPPY
MEMORIES OF CATHY,FOR SHE IS IN THE
HANDS OF THE LORD.

I had the pleasure of working with Cathy and through our work became the best of friends. Cathy was one of these rare wonderful people who have a heart of gold. She would come in in the mornings and say ok we need to discuss some important issues "lunch" and of course I would crack up. I saw her as a beautiful soul and will miss her terribly. I think the world is a little dimmer with Cathy's shining light.

Cathy was a treasure that I was fortunate enough to have in my life. Being around Cathy was like coming home after a long journey, the comfort of a faded pair of jeans, the warmth of a favorite sweater. Her personality drew you back to her like the slow steady pull of the tides. She was as certain as the Sun's rise and just as warm. As friends we drove one another crazy over the last 20 odd years; I would fault her for her "brutal honesty", she once offered to buy me crutches because I was "such an emotional cripple". As we grew older and wiser we would laugh and say that we brought out the best in one another. The balance of friendship finally achieved by age in the same way that a young wine with potential benefits from time in the barrel; the end result being something far more exquisite than what you began with.
