Mary Elizabeth Shaw Noack, of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX and member of Concordia Lutheran Church, passed away on May 20, 2002 after a long and valiant battle against cancer. She was born on April 26, 1940 in Waco, TX to Virginia Lee Neel Shaw and Charles Wesley Shaw. Mary graduated from Waco High School in 1958 and married Richard R. Noack in December of that same year. Upon graduation from Texas A&M in 1959, Richard and Mary began a military career that spanned 26 years before retiring to San Antonio in 1985. They moved to Horseshoe Bay, TX in 1993 and remained there until moving to Fair Oaks Ranch in June of 1999. Mary delighted in her many homes and raising her three children. She was totally devoted to her husband of 43 years, her children, and her grandchildren. A loving and compassionate person, Mary always put the needs of her family above her own. Her capacity for love was boundless and unconditional. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her family and her many close friends from Horseshoe Bay, San Antonio and the military service. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Shaw and a very special person in her life, her aunt, Mary Elizabeth Shaw Pearre, both of Waco. She is survived by her husband, Col Richard Noack of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; daughter, Kathryn Isernhagen and husband Brad of Bethany, OK; son, Michael Noack and wife Gloria of San Antonio; daughter, Lori Noack and fiancé Ron Bodin of San Antonio; mother, Virginia Shaw of Waco; brother, Leslie Shaw and wife Nancy of Greenville, TX; sister, Frances Lynch and husband Larry of Waco. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Stephen and Carol Isernhagen and Mary Elizabeth and Marissa Elyse Noack; and many loving nieces and nephews. On Mary's behalf, the family would like to thank her church family at Concordia Lutheran and her many other friends for their prayers and expressions of love and support for the last 4 years. The family also wishes to thank the many Physicians and Nurses for the professional and loving care provided Mary, especially Dr. Ronald Drengler, Dr. Rene Sepulveda, Dr. Keith Ayre, RN Gail Hutzler and all the Nurses in the Treatment Room of CTRC including Jan Cartright, Judy Mancl, Connie Young, Mary Marks, and Ann Perrin, and many others. We know her beautiful smiling face and ever positive attitude was as much an inspiration to you as it was to the many patients she came in contact with.
