Mary D. Pape unexpectedly passed away August 31, 2007 in Houston, Texas. She was born April 18, 1935, the twelfth of twelve children, in Wharton, Texas. Mary was the loving and devoted wife of Gene Pape. Gene preceded her in death by two months.
Besides taking care of her husband and raising six children, Mary was a very talented seamstress, pleasing many customers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Richardson, her three brothers and four of her sisters.
She is survived by: daughter, Jacqueline Jacki Chapin and husband Michael of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Bruce Edwards of Houston, TX, Carl Edwards of Houston, TX, Scott Edwards of San Antonio, TX, Eugene Trey Pape III of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Eke Chapin, Markasa Chapin, Deo Chapin, great granddaughter Cody Chapin, brother in-law Patrick J. Pape and wife Martha of San Antonio, TX, sisters, Dorothy, Audrey, Minnavee, Maxcene and Geraldine and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation Thursday September 6, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
