

Mary Anne Chittim Parker passed away May 9, 2012. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, June 14, 1923, one of two daughters of Lieschen (Guenther) and Norvel Chittim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved Joe, to whom she was married for 65 years.
She attended and graduated from Saint Mary's Hall and Vassar College.
She leaves behind her sister, Dorothea Chittim Oppenheimer, a daughter, Margarite Parker Guggolz and her husband Tom and a son, Joseph Parker, Jr. and his wife Chrys. She leaves behind five grandchildren, James Chittim Parker and his wife Valerie, Virginia Parker, Cullen Bright Parker, Eloise Elisabeth Guggolz and Hal Joseph Guggolz and two great-grandchildren, Harrison Chittim Parker and Avery Claire Parker. She is also survived by her brother-in-law William Alfred Parker and his wife Camilla Mueller Parker and her sister-in-law Mary Handy Parker and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Anne was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, the San Antonio Country Club, the Argyle, Club Giraud, the Charity Ball Association, the Battle of Flowers Association, Our Reading Club, the Alamo Heights-Terrell Hills Garden Club, the Fenwick Club, the Military Civilian Club, the Assembly, the Pilon Club, The Forum and the Timely Topics Club.
The Family wishes to express their appreciation for the kind and capable care given by Dr. Mark Isaeff, the staff of Caring Nannies and the staff of Christus VNA Hospice Inpatient Care.
