She attended St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Little Rock Arkansas, and enjoyed being a labor and delivery nurse. Mary also spent 28 years working as a Civil Service employee.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Gus Jack Marrow.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Andy Marrow; mother, Rosa Lee McClenathan; sister, Martha Mathews; brother, Buddy Dodd; and her father, Jesse Elbert Dodd. Survivors include her daughter, Velda Ortiz and husband Tony; son, Jack Marrow and wife Sara; granddaughters, Vivian and Valencia Goss; grandson, Jacob Marrow; great-granddaughter, Violet Elaine Weidner; nephew, Arnold Dodd, and brother-in-law, Joseph Mathiew.
