Mary was born on July 12, 1954. She married the love of her life, Jagdish Ram, on July 21, 1996, and together they shared 30 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Mary dedicated much of her life to serving others through her work as a talented seamstress and helping her husband with the business. She had a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a gift for making people feel welcomed. Mary poured love into everything she did, especially for her family and every stray dog she saw.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Obra and Frances Moody; her brother, Leroy Moody; and her niece, Lisa Moody.
Mary leaves behind many loved ones who will forever treasure her memory, including her siblings Ruth Jackson, Owen Moody, Beatrice McDonald, Shirley Cantu, and David Moody (Tracy).
She is also survived by her husband, Jagdish Ram; her daughter, Loris Kuri Helue; and her granddaughter, Fernanda Heredia Kuri. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, including Michael Long (Sharon), Jeanie Lofton (Don), Donna Bates (Steve), Doris Boone, Diana Canales (Gabe), Jason Moody (Jackie), Christina Cantu, Greg Cantu (Belinda), Eli Cantu, Meagen Flores (Frank), Amber Moody, Kassy King, DJ Moody, and Steven Moody; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Briana, Leanna, Jordan, Jocie, and Thomas will always treasure the love and memories they shared with her. She was like a grandma to them, always welcoming them with love and kindness. Some of their favorite moments were the simple ones; sleepovers at her house, playing with dominoes, and enjoying Pizza Hut together. Those evenings were filled with love and togetherness, creating memories they will cherish for years and years to come.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her devoted husband, Jagdish Ram; her loving sister, Beatrice McDonald; and Kelly Buckley, Harish Murugan, and Onkar Singh for the unwavering love, compassion, and care they gave her. Thank you for the countless nights spent by her side, caring for her with patience and love, and for bringing her comfort, peace and dignity throughout her final years.
Mary will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. Her legacy will continue to live on through the family and friends who loved her deeply.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, US, on August 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A Prayer Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, US, on August 5, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Pastor Torres.
A prayer service will be recited at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino August 6, 2026 at 9:15AM with the committal to take place at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214, US, on August 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a graveside service by Pastor Avelar.
