Mary "Nana", "Mom" will be remembered for her unfailing kindness, gentleness, generosity, contentment and sense of humor. She was always ready to share a good joke that she had collected. She was a long term member of Alamo Heights United Methodist church, where she was a member of the Kum Doublers Sunday school class and Joy Singers, and she also enjoyed attending Lunch Bunch at the church. She had many talents and was most proud of having studied ballet in both New York and California. At one time she danced with Agnes DeMille at the Hollywood Bowl. She also loved to paint and was instrumental in establishing an oils art class at AHUMC. She had a long history of service including teaching Sunday school in both Dallas and San Antonio and volunteering at Boysville Thrift Shop.
Mary has always been devoted to her family, and she set a wonderful example of living a Christian life. Some of her last advice to her family was to "continue to worship each Sunday and to keep in touch with one another. You are family. God bless you and don't forget your daily prayer of thanksgiving".
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Robertson; sister, Francis Trosper; and brother, James Trosper. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Conway; son, Richard Robertson and his wife, Barbara; daughter, Leigh Robertson Cotton and her husband, Lee; stepson, Bruce Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Eileen; and four much-loved grandchildren, Miriam Leigh Lewis, Thomas Howell, Kelly Robertson and Carter Robertson.
