Mary E. Solis

Mary was a graduate of Incarnate Word High School, St. Mary's University, and the University of Texas – San Antonio. She retired from the San Antonio I.S.D. after thirty years as a secondary English and ESL teacher.

Mary Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Esther Hernandez; husband, Felix Solis; brother, Anthony Hernandez; children, Mary Esther and Paul Garza and great-granddaughter, Audree Foster.

She is survived by brother, Richard L. Hernandez (Mimi); daughters, Ann Marie San Miguel, Patricia L. Saenz (Danny), Kathleen Foster (John), Cecilia Sublette (John); sons, John Garza and Steve Garza (Sandra), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary Emma was a loving grandmother to nineteen and great-grandmother to eleven. Special thanks to eldest granddaughter, Jennifer San Miguel, who helped her grandmother live at home with dignity and in peace.

Visitation Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave. A Mass, Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial at San Fernando Cemetery I.
