

Mary grew up in Rochester, New York and joined the Army in 1953 where she met her husband Joseph; they were married 53 years until his death in November 2007.
Mary is survived by daughters; Mary Jo Sylva- Quezada (Ray), Karenlee Marcil and Teresa Ann Stahl (Patrick), son; William Steuer, brother; Stephen Russo and sisters; Dorothy Kollman, Lucille Russo, Theresa Ann Russo. Mary is also survived by 6 granddaughters; Maria- Christina Sylva, Amber Marcil, Lindsey Wilson (James), Tarah Marcil, Shelbyann Stahl, Shayla Stahl and 4 great-grandchildren; Hunter, Riley, Cadence and Ryan Wilson also great- granddaughter; Miabella Victoria due August 12, 2015.
Mary was involved in First Friday at Fort Sam Houston and held several offices at NCO wives club including President. Mary also volunteered at the thrift store at Fort Sam Houston and was involved at St. Helena with the Alter Society.
Visitation will take place at Sunset Funeral Home Monday April 20, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Tuesday April 21, 2015 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to a charity of your choice.
