Mary Mildred Szydloski

Mary Mildred Szydloski of San Antonio, Texas passed away on December 16, 2016 at the age of 91. Mary was born on February 20, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois & graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for 40 years. Nursing was her passion and caring for others was her life.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a love for people and a smile and hug for all she met.

Preceded in death by husband, Wayne Szydloski and daughter, Terry Scharpenburg. Survived by children: Nancy & Stephen Walsh, Mary & Pete Gibbens, Dennis & Cathy Szydloski, Pat Hosek, Jack & Tammy Szydloski and Mel Scharpenburg, grandchildren: Erin, Melissa, David, Becky, Jennifer, Wayne, great-grandsons: Benjamin, Cooper, Laettner & Henley, numerous extended family & life-long friends who were always made to feel like family.

Visitation: Thursday, December 22nd, 6:00 -8:00 pm, Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio. Funeral mass: 11:30 am, Friday, December 23rd, The Village at Incarnate Word’s St. Joseph’s Chapel, 4707 Broadway, San Antonio.
