Mary Lou Vazquez, age 79, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2014. She was born on May 20, 1935 to Arturo & Elisa Hernandez. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Vazquez; 2 grandsons, Nick Anthony Almendarez and Stephen Anthony Vazquez.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, J. Manuel Vazquez; 6 children, Guillermina Chavez, Jacqueline Almendarez, Juli Machany, Michele Ortiz, Lisa Vazquez and Joe Vazquez; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gilbert and Larry Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 6 pm, Friday, December 5, 2014 followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 am, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 De Zavala, San Antonio, TX 78249.
