

Mrs. Voss graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945 and was a proud member of the Lasso Drill Team. She entertained her grandchildren with rope tricks until her 60th birthday.
Mrs. Voss was a life member of the San Antonio Women"'s Club and won many awards for her dry flower arrangements in the Fiesta Flower Shows. Mary was a very talented Portrait Sketch Artist and loved to paint with oil on canvas. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making original designed dresses for her daughter and granddaughters, and they loved it.
She was the ultimate "hausfrau" and made her house and garden into a loving home.
Mrs. Voss loved her Lord, joining the First Baptist Church in 1943. She sang in the choir, belonged to the WMU and served Him for 35 years as the Director of Third Grade Sunday School until the onset of Alzheimers made her retire in 1999.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kurt Voss, Sr.; children, Kurt "Al" Voss, Jr., and wife, Janet, Ted Voss and wife, Cindy, Lauretta Voss Edwards and husband, Minot; grandchildren, Jennifer Pittman, Alisa Voss, Christopher Voss and wife, Autumn, Ashley Voss, Brittany Zorn, Zachary Zorn, Garrett Voss, Westin Voss; great grandchildren, Tucker Pitttman, Freedom Voss, Justice Voss; sisters, Nancy Lackey, Betty Milner; step-mother, Beulah Posey; many nieces and nephews. The family will always remember the nurses of Odyssey Hospice for the loving care given Mary.
Pallbearers: Zachary Zorn, Ralph Voss, Jr., Christopher Voss, Minot Edwards, Scott Mozisek and Hans Engelbrecht. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
