'Hard to believe it's been 3 years since you left us. Lanette and I both love you and think about you often.'

'Had I known the last hug I gave Mary was indeed the last I could give her, I might not have let go. One day she walked into a room and into my life. For several years thereafter she was a good friend, a caring councilor, and as genuine a person as I ever will meet. And now, as quickly as she appeared in my life she has taken her exit. A class act that Mary. She will be missed with a heavy heart. Still, she brings to my face an endearing smile. Memories of her contagious laughter will keep her presence forever in my heart.

'What does one say to show a tribute to a woman who comes into your life and holds you close to her heart, and calls you "son"? I cannot ... although she could...here it goes. 
Mary called every week to report the happenings of her life from the ships to herself including a splash of "let me tell you what..." as she was in between topics. Always finishing her calls with " Love ya!", which I'm missing even now. The last message she left on my answering machine is still there because just hearing her voice gives me one more chance to hear her again. 
I loved it when she would end an email with from yo' Momma.The beauty of watching her command the room like a captain of the ship during a gathering or appreciating her sense of beauty in all the things she collected are my memories of her life force. And yes, she blessed me with many of them. 
She also showed that diversity was a part of her life even when it came to family, friends, wine and charity. We all know that Mary was the woman that kept her eye on everything that made the world go round. 
This is what Mary Watson means to me, and yes there is an enormous hole that is present with her leaving me and everyone she touched. 

Until we meet again. I will miss Mom.'

'I am still in shock that Mary is no longer with us. Mary was my biggest cheerleader in serving as President of the Boysville Auxiliary. Mary came to me in 2012 asking if she could begin a "Bag Sale" at our Boysville Thrift Shop. I was 100% on board with her idea to try something new to raise money for the children at Boysville. We held our 9th "Bag Sale" this past Saturday and thought of Mary every minute! So many children have benefited from Mary's work at the Boysville Auxiliary Thrift Store. I will miss Mary's energy and support so much. Rest in peace my dear friend.'

'Girls and Bert. How we admired and loved Mary. We shall miss her. The laughing-eating-drinking wine and just being silly. Walking around the ports -shopping-eating again and having a glass or two of wine again. We will miss that CRAZY girl. Cheers to all of you that had her in your lives. She was quite the girl. 'We were looking forward to seeing Mary on an up coming cruise. We met Mary and Bill a number of years ago and continued to send e-mails back and forth. She enjoyed life and all the people she met. Yes she did have a BIG Texan heart. John & Peg from Bartlett, IL.'

'It is very difficult for us to imagine a Castle Woods Forest without Mary - without her vivacity, her exuberance, her helpfulness and her infinite kindness. She instructed us thoroughly in "Texas 101" during our first years in San Antonio, offering great guidance and advice. Even when we moved back to Wiesbaden she continued to strengthen our friendship though constant and caring emails. Thank you, Mary, for being our friend. We will miss you greatly.'

'I never knew Mary but I'm friends with Angie. I'm sure Angie is a direct reflection of her mother - she must of been a lady who was thoughtful, kind, generous and full of humor. Angie's friends in Colorado are sending loving and caring thoughts her way.'

'I am saddened by Mary's passing. I met her and Bert on a cruise ship years ago and we have remained friends since. She was always emailing me and calling me when I was going on a cruise again to be with them on a ship, when I would stop by for a beer or meet them for Happy Hour! Always ending her email with'Hugs Mary'. And always looking me in the eye telling me 'Let me tell you....'. I'm really going to miss Mary and will think of her every time I get on a ship.
