Mary Wente, 87, passed away June 17, 2015 with her family at her side. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Amos Wente. She is survived by her children: Laura Burris, Cindy Howard, Thomas Rodriguez, Yvonne Primera, Andre Rodriguez, Yvette Santoy, 17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Mary was a strong mother of six kids, funny and a great cook. Mary enjoyed sewing and ballroom dancing. Mary made all her formal gowns.
When she danced with her husband the glow she expressed was the love of dancing with the love of her life. She is now with the Lord dancing and watching over us. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22nd at 5:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, TX. 78212. On Tuesday, June 23rd, a procession will depart Porter Loring chapel at 12:30 pm for a Mass at 1:00 pm to be held in her honor at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 159 Camino Santa Maria with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
