Mary Ann Yates, age 65, of San Antonio, born October 30, 1936, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School and attended Austin College in Sherman, TX. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She was very active in our lives. She was curious, concerned, and helpful with all our activities. She was a great mother and great neighborhood mom. Some of her interests included knitting, crocheting, gardening, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ava Lucile McElroy; and sister, Louise Brock. She is survived by her husband, William R. Yates; sons, Victor Yates and wife Sherri, Mark Yates and wife Christine, and Pat Yates and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Cody, Sean, Caitlynne, Brittney, Brook, Charlie, Jacob, and Shauna; father, Walter L. Muehlhause; sister, Lucille Hightower; twin brother, Walter L. Muehlhause; five nephews and four nieces.
