Matias N. Ramirez, of Shiner, Texas, age 62, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was born in Sanderson, Texas on September 13, 1950.
Matias was a beloved father, who loved the outdoors, fishing, listening to music and working on vintage automobiles. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Matias was preceded in death by his father Jesus Ramirez; and brothers and sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Lydia M. Ramirez; son, Jose Ramirez; granddaughter, Angelica Ramirez of San Antonio; mother, Herlinda Ramirez; sister, Elvia Marquez of Hereford; mother of his children, Patsy Ramirez of San Antonio; and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Porter Loring, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio.
