Matthew Thomas McClellan

Matthew Thomas McClellan of New Braunfels, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 24th at the age of 46. Beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, Matt was a joy to all who knew him. Matt was born the second son of Michael Thomas and Cheryl Storm McClellan on December 28, 1969 in Winfield, Illinois. In 1994, Matt married his best friend and the love of his life, Ellen Malesky. They were blessed with three daughters, Kathryn Elizabeth, Caroline Mackenzie and Courtney Alexis. He was such a proud father of all three girls and instilled in them the values of honesty, integrity, and determination. He was always the loudest supporter at horse shows/cheer competitions and loved helping the girls as well as the other kids with their FFA projects.

Together, Matt and Ellen founded By Design HomeCare, where Matt found his calling. Matt relished the opportunity to provide care and safety to patients and their families. His love and caring for others will be missed.

If laughter is the mark of a happy home, you would be hard pressed to find a happier one. Matt was always with a ready smile, a funny story, a knowing smirk. He loved with all of his heart.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen McClellan; daughters, Kathryn, Caroline, and Courtney McClellan; brothers and sisters in law; Tim and Anne McClellan, Joe and Wendy McClellan, Ben and Amie McClellan and nephews and nieces: Connor, Michael, Mason, Morgan, and Maggie McClellan. His mother Cheryl McClellan and grandmother Hazel Storm along with numerous aunts and Uncles
