Dear Mr. and Mrs. Robinson,
 I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was not only friends with Matt but also, a teammate and roommate. I wrestled with Matt at Reagan and Texas Tech. He was one of the inspirational wrestlers i ever knew. He would never stop and always gave his best, no matter what.. I remember at Reagan the refs having to wrap his face because he would always bleed and I would always say, nope I would give up but Matt never would. We wrestled at Tech but decided after the first day that was no fun for us anymore. He was my roommate too and I enjoyed the times we hung out or went late at night to the cafeteria to grab food. He was a blessing and an inspiration to anyone who met him and he would always make you laugh or smile. He will truly be missed but I pray God brings you the joy and happiness that Matt Brought all of us. God Bless you always.

I'll never forget the time my family arrived home from a long road trip. Colin and I were so excited to get home and see all our friends. Sure enough Matt happened to be coming from the neighbors house and saw us pulling in. Colin immediately jumped out of the car and they plotted a direct course for each other. Both had a ridiculous joyous look on their face with their head tilted back, arms out, and ready for a glorious hug. Instead of actually embracing, these two knew each other so well that they intentionally missed only to trip and fall. Of course they brought it in for the real deal after returning to their feet, but in the meantime, me and my folks were just losing it. Matt was the kind of friend that, one day, we woke up and he was mowing our lawn with a Davy Crockett coon skin hat on. For me, there's no better way to show you care than going way out of your way to entertain people and start their day off right. To this day, I've never seen my mom so bewildered haha.

I will always remember laughing with Matt about our Tech vs A&M rivalries, and staying up late around the campfire with the Three Robinson Brothers after Prof Jay would call it a night. It was an honor and privilege to know Matt, and although God has called him back to his home I will always cherish the time I had to get to know him.

Our family has been Blessed many times throughout the years with the friendship and support of the Robinson family. Matt was "Brad's kid brother" when we first met him, and we witnessed him grow into the brother Brad was proud of, and the uncle Jarret and Eileen loved. I have a so many images and memories of Matthew in my head. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was going to Sea World with Matthew, Sharon and Jay. We'd sit in the "Wet Zone," as he called it, at the Shamu show. I think it was really called the "Splash Zone," but I thought the former was more accurate anyway. After the show we'd walk around in salt water soaked clothes until we changed into the new pair Sharon brought us sealed in a Ziploc bag just like a good mother would. 
Going to the Seymour and Clyde sea lion show was always an adventure. When that mime came out, Matthew's body would freeze and he wouldn't blink until it went away. It always made me feel like the big brave one who would protect him from that mime yeah right!. Now that I think of it, I'm nearly certain that's why he was so fast at the Sea World Triathlon a few years ago. He was afraid he might run into that stupid mime again. 
I'll always carry Matthew with me. He is an inspiration to me now. I love and adore the whole Robinson family and will be here in anyway you need me.

Matt was a great friend and a fine athlete. We became friends in wrestling and class but our shared sense of humor brought us closer as friends. We kept each other going in the most boring of classes. I'll always remember seeing this crazy kid running along the highway and then realized it was him after he jumped on the back of my car as I was at a light. Scared me terribly! Matt had great work ethic and always pushed him self to the limit. And even though we joked a lot I knew that Matt loved his family SO much and forever will.

My wife and I would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the family. We pray for Matt's soul to finally have peace and joy in heaven.

To the Robinson's, I never had the pleasure of knowing Matt, however, I heard many positive attributes from Chris while he and I were working through college. Your biology classes were tough. It was during this time I put two and two together; I was attending Chris's fathers class. I once heard you speak of Matt and remember him being very young. The Lord works in ways we don't understand. If there can be any comfort at this difficult time, know only you will one day see him again. Jay & Sharon, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this incredibly tough time. I cannot imagine the pain you must feel at the loss of Matt. I will remember Matt as a wrestler. I had many good times coaching and visiting with Matt at practice and tournaments. He was always so eager to learn. I never had to worry about Matt giving his all. He went all out no matter the circumstances. Of course all the Reagan and San Antonio Wrestling club family will remember Matt as "The Bleeder"! What fun we had with him when he would start bleeding and need to be taped up! And of course the mask he wore was another great source of teasing for Matt. He took it all in stride and enjoyed the comraderie of his team mates and coaches. He was a great sport and team mate. We will miss Matt.

I knew your son vaguely as I meet him a handful of times. However, I have spent many times with Matthew's father and two other brothers.
