She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Elmer M. Watkins, and her parents John Woodsie Brigance and Bula Roberts Brigance of Big Spring, TX.
She is survived by her son Phil Watkins and wife Shirley Watkins of San Antonio, TX and grandchildren, Beth W. Squires, Suzanne Watkins and Leslie Watkins; her sister Fern Percy of Midland, nephew, Clarence Percy III and wife Gracie Fay Percy, and niece Donna P. Potter and husband Terry Potter.
She was a Midland ISD elementary teacher at South, Pease, Sam Houston and Emerson over a 30 year career. Patty was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society.
In retirement she traveled extensively in Europe and throughout the US and enjoyed playing in several bridge clubs. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and the Boone Bible Class.
