Maurine F. Scholtz, age 66, went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2010. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 14, 1944 to Mansell and Florence Elder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward William Scholtz Jr. and brother, William Elder. Maurine is survived by her daughters, Deborah A. Seales and husband Daniel, Karen Vargas and husband Allan, Cristine M. Scholtz and husband Pedro Garza Jr.; grandchildren, James E. Seales, Raven A. Scholtz, Amanda D. Seales, Valerie M. Vargas, Mark A. Vargas, Renee M. Garza, Ryann A. Garza; sisters, Barbara Kay and Helen Bowen; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Woodchick, Edwina Sievers, Agnes Janysek, Patricia Schmidt; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. A memorial rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2010 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. Patrick Cronin officiating
