I first met Max when he married my mother, Armandina (Nina) in 1988. After my father’s death, my family felt broken for years. Then Max entered our lives and brought so much love and happiness to mom, that our family became whole again.

Getting to know Max was a fascinating journey. He would share stories about his life but, you would see his true joy when he talked about his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was important to him and I’m grateful that my children knew him as “grandpa.” I feel blessed to have been a part of Max’s family.

I'll miss you Dad,
Nancy

MY Dad was a wonderful man. He was born in Berg's Mill, TX. in 1925. He lived a great life. He was married twice. He had 8 children from his first wife Angelina, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He lived to witness 16 Presidents, the Great Depression, the hardships of The Dust Bowl of the 1930's, racial segregation, the birth of rock and roll, the invention of the television, Woodstock, Watergate and the landing on the moon.
He proudly served this Great country of ours in WWII
from 1943 -1946 receiving numerous medals and served under Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
A true American Hero. A God fearing man who loved his family and his fellow man dearly. He will be deeply missed.

love, your son
Robert Martinez
