Maxine Jones

MAXINE JONES, age 88 was born a twin on March 26, 1923 in Kenedy, Texas. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2011. This beautiful Christian girl was named Maxine LeWallen by her mother Bertha Hood LeWallen and Father, Elihu LeWallen.

Family consisted of her twin sister Maureen, other sister, Mavionee Sissy; Brothers, Hugh, Walter and Kent Bo. Life was growing up in a very small town on the creek. When ready she loaded up her belongings and headed to the big city of San Antonio, Texas where she lived with her twin sister and her mother.

She found employment working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company 33 years where she met her first husband Sid Cline and married July 1958, a marriage of 30+years, then retired on June 1, 1976 as Secretary, Construction Operations Manager. After Sid's passing June 1989, Maxine settled into an independent retirement home where she met her second husband William Bill Dudley Jones. After a three month courtship they were married on January 25, 1991.

Also noted Maxine was a devoted member to the First Baptist Church on McCullough and a devoted member to the telephone pioneers of America. Maxine is survived by, Daughter-in-law, Diane Jones Three grandchildren and son-in-law Michael Jones and Wife Paula; Along with daughter in-law Karen Cline Baum & Husband John 2 grandchildren, and son-in-law Andy Cline and wife Barbara 1grandchild and many nephews, nieces, cousins and great grand children
