She was born on November 27, 1916 in Oklahoma, but was a true Texan at heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Phillips; and her son, Lonnie Ray Phillips.
Surviving Children are Jaylene Griggs and husband Lee of San Antonio, and Larry Phillips and wife Charlotte. Maxine is also survived by nine grandchildren, including Dawn Phillips Jackson and husband Jerry, Bryan Griggs and wife Missy, all of San Antonio, and Darren Griggs and Jay Griggs Bernard and husband, Roy, both of Dallas; and nine great grandchildren.
Maxine is lovingly remembered for being so giving, always positive, never complaining, ever encouraging and always proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed, but is now in the presence of her loving Heavenly Father.
